About the Author

E.R. Bellamy was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, where she still lives. She attended high school at Notre Dame Academy and went on to the Katharine Gibbs School in Manhattan.

When her two sons were both diagnosed with Dyslexia and Disorder of Written Expression, Miss Bellamy became an educational advocate for them. Driven by a mother’s desire to see her children receive the education they deserved, she learned about the reading method program called Wilson Reading System and after completing the courses and becoming a member of the Wilson Academy  has been working as a Reading Tutor for over 5 years.

Currently, Miss Bellamy is committed to making a difference for kids with Dyslexia through tutoring and has now taken it a step further by using her own personal experience with her sons to bring even more awareness and fight to make sure every child with Dyslexia gets a fighting chance as early as PreK.
